Assignment 1: Psychological Self-Portrait

This is my final version of the self-portrait. The source images for my self-portrait were random things from around my house that are me. I probably took around 100 images total, but ended up only using about 15 of them. Creating the piece was fun for me because I just started randomly putting images together until it started to look good.

When I was making it I was not thinking about a deeper meaning, or any meaning at all, just stuff I like all in one  image. When I was finished with the self-portrait, I realized the meaning behind this piece is my inner-child. Where the Wild Things are  was one of my favorite books as a kid, but also represents the wild thing who likes to have fun inside of me. I've always enjoyed building with Legos and the idea of a world made of Legos would be awesome. I'm addicted to Mountain Dew. The tractor and chicken are in the piece because we have small farm in our (small) backyard with 11 chickens. I added Doofenshmirtz and Perry the platypus because even though phineas and ferb is a kid's show, it's  funny and I watch it with my younger brothers often. The background was taken by the river behind my neighborhood.
