Nowhere near done, list of things to do:

• I need to straighten the building more, retake the pictures of my church, and work on the sidewalks and driveways connected to the buildings. 
• I plan to improve the sky and add in some light paintings. 
• I might take out the bookstore and Eisenhower to make the rest of the buildings larger.

I plan on printing it as large as the printer will allow to show as much detail as possible. I've already scaled down all of the images by 60%, but there is still a lot of detail.

This is what I would like the result to look like, but a lot cleaner and better

The globe will include Riedl hall, Ovalwood hall, the campus bookstore, Bromfield hall, Eisenhower, my church, and my parent's houses (parents are divorced). No appropriated images.

The globe is made from this image with the polar distort filter.

My plan for printing it is to print it as large as the printer will allow.

For my artistic map I mapped out every SNL cast member and host over the 37 years the show has been on the air. The map has 639 names linked to each year they were on the show. The map is made up of text and lines only, no images appropriated. 

Some  facts about the show:

• Alec Baldwin pasted  Steve Martin in hosting the most episodes in 2011 (16 episodes)
• The following people are members of the Five-Timers Club:Steve Martin(15 times), Alec Baldwin(15 times),John Goodman(12 times), Buck Henry (10 times), Chevy Chase (9 times), Tom Hanks (8 times), Christopher Walken(7 times), Elliot Gould (6 times), Danny DeVito (6 times), Candice Bergen (5 times), Bill Murray (5 times), Drew Barrymore (5 times)
• Drew Barrymore is person the youngest to host (7 years old)
• Betty White is the oldest person to host (88 years old)

Which version looks better? Semi-visible lines outside of the letters or no lines outside of the letters?

The letters are made up of the names all 639 hosts and cast members, with lines connecting everyone to the years they were on the show over it's 37 years on the air.

Assignment 3 proposal

I plan on visually mapping every Saturday Night Live host and cast member, by year, with the end result forming the letters SNL. I don't plan on using images, only text and lines.

Stop Advertising

The pictures came from NASA's website and the ads from the internet, but used within the fair use doctrine as they are used as a parody. I picked ads and logos that are seen often and well recognizable. The idea for this project was seeing ads where they usually are not present. Advertisements are everywhere today and it seems like there is no place that is safe from becoming advertising space. Especially now that space programs are no longer funded by the government, it is likely that all future spaceships will be plastered with logos and ads.
